About Maren Gleason:
I received my MSW from San Jose State University. I am a Licensed
Clinical Social Worker in the state of California, LCS 23406. I
have trained in and provide clinical
consultation to other clinicians in family systems therapy.
Family systems counseling and therapy considers the family as the
closest resource, shaping and supporting the individual in his or her
development. Family systems therapy is an evidence based
practice.
I have also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for
couples, an evidence based practice. Research
supports the effectiveness of evidence based practices. I keep my
practice up to date by continuing my education in the
best evidence based practices.
I have trained in supporting the military and veterans returning from
Iraq, Afghanistan, OEF, OIF, GWOT and other conflicts.

Volunteer Work
My volunteer work has included working with children in foster care and
appearing in court to speak on their behalf as a Court Appointed
Special Advocate.
I am currently a volunteer with The Coming Home Project providing
support for military families who do not qualify for counseling through
the VA.
